Professional Conduct

Volunteers are expected to represent AFAO with professionalism, courtesy, honesty, and integrity while carrying out their volunteer responsibilities.

We are committed to creating an environment where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, fairness, and cultural sensitivity. Volunteers are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior toward participants, fellow volunteers, staff, partners, and members of the community.

Reliability & Commitment

Volunteers are encouraged to honor their scheduled commitments and communicate promptly if they are unable to participate as planned. Reliable volunteer service helps ensure the continuity and effectiveness of AFAO's programs.

Communication

Open, respectful, and professional communication is essential to successful volunteer service. Volunteers are encouraged to ask questions, seek guidance when needed, and communicate in a timely and constructive manner.

Confidentiality

Volunteers may become aware of personal or organizational information while serving with AFAO. Any confidential or sensitive information must be handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable organizational policies and legal requirements.

Ethical Responsibility

Volunteers are expected to act honestly, responsibly, and in a manner that supports AFAO's mission, values, and commitment to ethical nonprofit practices.
